Tears and Tantrums
Welcome to the first post for my very own little blog called 'Little Red Rides'.
So here it begins....... my journey from flabby to fabulous with a little help from my 'Little Red' also known as my bike. Earlier this year, Big Red suggested in jest that we enter a cycling sportive in September... 65 miles up the Malvern Hills....., my heart plummeted, beads on sweat appeared but I was determined not to be beaten and so I agreed; the Malvern Mad Hatter it was! At this point, I didn't even have a bike let alone the fitness to get over a speed bump - let alone the Malvern Hills.
Fast forward a week and Big Red surprised me with Little Red....... 'Bugger', I thought, no excuse now.
I was quite content sitting up a blanket on the sofa doing crochet - hmm think that was going to have to change.
Since then, Little Red and I have hit the 100 mile mark and hills are less of a barrier.
This blog is about my journey to 1000 miles (another challenge I stupidly set myself) and hopefully the weight loss and fitness that will go along side it.
I plan on enjoying the journey but I know there are going to be tears and tantrums along the way.
Love and speed bumps,
Little Red Ride xx
